double match

Everywhere I looked, they thought the doublematch was an amazing idea. My thought was: “What the heck, did he actually ever used a match to light up something?”. It’s a miracle if you don’t burn your fingers while turning it on, but when you have to turn it off? What about that? Moving your hand like crazy and it won’t go off because matches are completely unfriendly with both smokers and candle-lovers. That’s why, if you’re using it outside, you throw it, because only then it will actually turn off, and how about using the other side of a double match that’s been thrown on the ground?

Paolo Ulian, an italian designer, actually came out with some cute designs, I define them cute because most of the time that’s what I think, I’d define them amazing, or amazingly beautiful, if I thought that. But this time, nope.

It is true, most designs are useless, but at least you can put them somewhere in your house and think they’re beautiful while looking at them. In Paolo Ulian’s case, you have to use everything he creates, because he wants you to, but you can’t, because the Matwalk is something I’d kill myself with and the finger biscuits takes away all the pleasure you have while eating Nutella (and some of you know what I mean).

So, while learning how to be creative, I’m also learning to think about what I do, do you?*

*This isn’t a question for Paolo Ulian, I bet, and hope, he does.
